How to prepare for your headshot.

To make the most of any professional photograph we must both be invested in the session.

The first step is to choose an outfit that you are comfortable in. Choose an outfit for the profession you are in or aspiring to be in. Wearing clothing that fits you well aids in your promotion. If you are uncertain ask a loved on or close friend for fashion tips. Experiment with a few looks hairstyles and outfits. Find what works for you. If you are booking a longer session bring a couple outfits.

Invest in hair and make up, but this is not the time to experiment with a new hairstylist or makeup artist. Wait at least a week after a fresh haircut before your headshot or portrait session.

The next tip applies to health in general. Get plenty of sleep and drink plenty of water. It’s hard to do when it’s not part of your routine, but when your well rested and hydrated you always look your best.
