Lurana Shelter Society

Giving back to the community is something we all can do, volunteering a few hours here and there does more good than sitting on the couch.

The Lurana Shelter Society is a registered, charitable organization serving victims of domestic violence in Edmonton, Alberta and surrounding area. We strive to provide abused women and children with every necessary support to permanently break free from the cycle of family violence.

I was fortunate enough to attend their Avenue of Hope Gala, and with Derek Repchuk as guest photographers.
Derek worked the room getting candids, while I captured images of the honoured guests in the lobby.

It was a pleasure meeting and talking with Mrs. North America, among other great people.

Thank you to all who have supported me over the years.
We have decided to remain closed for the duration of COVID.
I am spending time with family. Once Vaccine roll-out is complete we will re-assess and consider re-opening spring 2022.
